Here's a really fun project I just finished for @h Here's a really fun project I just finished for @hidden.ny @asics_sportstyle_jp for their special editions of the Gel-Kinetic 2.0 sneaker, designed around early Apple Macintosh Iconography (including the seminal book/film 'Zen and the art of the Macintosh' by Michael Green).I plunged deep into my 80s childhood with an animated piece complete with all those early Macintosh 128 limitations that MacPaint and MacMovie had (1-bit monochrome, 6 fps, 512 ร— 342 pixels) and carefully reinterpreted Green's work, moving it towards a film celebrating the art of movement. Thank you to Troy and his team for selecting it ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐ŸปCurrently, the script is running at 100% festival acceptance on FilmFreeway which is crazy when you consider SOULMATE had a 40% average and that's considered high! I'm surprised by how low Syro has ended up, purely on how acclaimed it is, but I honestly never feel that compelled to listen to it ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿป I thought the Collapse EP that came out soon after was a better distillation of the new hyper-skittish AFX sound.
